Over 81,000 U.S. soldiers are missing from past wars. One may soon be identified

Over eighty-one thousand U.S. service members remain missing from past military conflicts. NPR reports that the Department of Defense disinterred remains of an unidentified World War Two soldier in June who had been buried in Sitka, Alaska for decades. They are now working to confirm his identity.
