NASA's Curiosity rover has discovered an astonishing pattern on Mars: a Martian valley blanketed in tiny polygon-shaped fractures forming a honeycomb landscape. ScienceDaily reports each of these patterns measures only a few inches wide, yet they extend across vast stretches of the terrain and even wrap around a nearby twenty-foot-tall butte.
