Supreme Court says U.S. can turn away asylum seekers at the border

The Supreme Court has ruled, six votes to three, that the U.S. government can refuse entry to asylum seekers at the border, preventing them from applying for asylum in this country. According to NPR News, the court determined that existing federal law permits the government to turn asylum seekers away before they ever set foot in the United States.
