Space Force awards K2 Space $22.9 million for orbital laser communications demonstration

The Space Force is awarding K2 Space twenty-two point nine million dollars for an orbital laser communications demonstration. Two of the company's satellites will host optical terminals to test connecting military systems in orbit via light, SpaceNews reports.
