At least 13 dead as tourist plane crashes during flight over Peru’s Nazca Lines

The Guardian reports that at least thirteen people died when a sightseeing plane crashed into a field near Peru's city of Ica. The aircraft was taking tourists to view the Nazca Lines, a collection of geoglyphs depicting animals that were scraped into the desert hundreds of years ago by Indigenous inhabitants—images that can only be fully appreciated from the air.
