Tourist plane crashes during flight over Peru’s Nazca Lines, killing 13

At least thirteen people are dead after a tourist plane crashed near Peru's Nazca Lines, the Guardian reports. Local authorities in Nazca say eleven tourists and two pilots died when the Cessna Grand Caravan went down in Pueblo Viejo, about four miles from the city of Nazca and roughly twelve kilometers from the famed geoglyph site. The aircraft had departed from the nearby city of Pisco before the crash.
