Heatwave scorching western US ups risk of hazardous fire conditions

science

The Guardian is reporting that a heatwave gripping the western United States is creating dangerous conditions for wildfires, especially across Oregon and Washington. In the southwest, the National Weather Service predicts temperatures climbing between one hundred ten and one hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit through early next week. Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest will see highs in the nineties. Low humidity and powerful winds in Oregon and Washington have state officials particularly concerned about rapid wildfire spread.
