Body of climber Nirmal Purja, six others recovered after Pakistan avalanche

Search teams have recovered the body of climber Nirmal Purja, along with six others, following an avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak, Al Jazeera English reports. Purja was renowned for scaling all fourteen of the world's highest peaks in just over six months back in 2019. The avalanche killed all ten mountaineers on the mountain, and as Al Jazeera English notes, the search continues for the three climbers still missing.
