An Automated Water Tank Controller
tech
In parts of India, filling rooftop water tanks is a manual, wasteful chore. [Jumpor] automated it with an ESP32 microcontroller and an ultrasonic sensor mounted in a modified tank cap, according to Hackaday. When water level drops, the system triggers a pump to refill; when full, it stops automatically. This saves water and eliminates the need to wait for overflow as an indicator of a full tank. The rig was cleverly designed to work in a rental property without permanent modifications.
