US representative Marcy Kaptur taken to hospital after car crash

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur was hospitalized after a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision in Toledo, Ohio on Sunday. The eighty-year-old Ohio Democrat was a passenger heading to church at the time. The Guardian reports she's being treated for non-life-threatening injuries and remains active and alert.
