Queensland 'actively pursuing' allowing police to collect child suspect DNA

Per ABC News, Queensland is actively pursuing a change to police powers that would allow officers to collect DNA samples from child suspects, the same way they currently do for adults. The Queensland Police Union backs the move, arguing that the current discrepancy in how child and adult offenders' DNA is handled should be eliminated.
