A Sydney court has heard testimony from a man who says he was fourteen years old when he met veteran Australian radio broadcaster Alan Jones, after the teenager broke a sporting record as a champion athlete. The complainant told the court Jones went on to give him a mobile phone, a car, and up to six hundred dollars a week, the Guardian reports. Jones, who is eighty-five and formerly hosted on Sydney stations Two U E and Two G B, is facing twenty-two charges of indecent assault and sexual touching, and has pleaded not guilty. Monday was the first day of evidence in the trial, which is being heard at Sydney local court.
