Cuba plunges into darkness as state energy firm reports new nationwide blackout

Cuba's entire power grid went down late Sunday, plunging the island into darkness once again, France 24 reports. The state-run grid operator confirmed the collapse, the latest in a string of nationwide blackouts the country has suffered since a US energy embargo cut off the regular fuel deliveries its power stations depend on.
