The European Commission is stepping up enforcement of the EU AI Act, with Anthropic and OpenAI among the firms facing new scrutiny. Per CNBC, the Commission can demand inspections of AI models, restrict market access, and issue fines up to fifteen million euros or three percent of turnover.
