world

Per the Guardian, Myanmar's detained former leader Aung San Suu Kyi has met with a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross, following years of questions about her wellbeing. The eighty-one-year-old was ousted in a military coup in February twenty twenty-one and has remained in detention since, her whereabouts and health condition largely unknown to the outside world. The Red Cross confirmed the meeting on Monday, after Myanmar's military sought to demonstrate she is still alive.
