A woman whose body washed up on a California beach in December died from a single shark bite, a new autopsy has confirmed. Erica Fox, fifty-five, had gone swimming with a group near Lovers Point in Monterey but never returned; the autopsy found the bite broke her pelvis and severed a major artery, causing her to drown. The findings were first reported by the Monterey Herald, the Guardian says.
