Stronger EU borders needed after Ceuta crisis, von der Leyen says

After tens of thousands of people arrived and quickly left Spain's Ceuta territory, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen is calling for stronger EU border controls. Per von der Leyen's letter to Spain's prime minister on Monday, Europe must do more to strengthen borders at critical points, including the use of physical barriers where appropriate and vigilant monitoring. The mass movement has sparked a dispute between Madrid and other European member states over how to respond.
