Tim Ryan, Former Variety Honolulu Correspondent, Dies at 80

Tim Ryan, a longtime Hawaii correspondent for Variety and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, has passed away at eighty. According to Variety, Ryan spent over twenty years as the Star-Bulletin's senior entertainment writer, chronicling film and television productions across the islands before retiring in two thousand six. He died last week in West Seattle, Washington after a long illness.
