US House ethics panel recommends censuring North Carolina’s Chuck Edwards

The House ethics committee is recommending censure for North Carolina Republican Chuck Edwards after finding he fostered a hostile work environment and sexually harassed two young female staffers. According to The Guardian, the bipartisan panel found Edwards singled the aides out for special treatment and gifts that made them uncomfortable and damaged relations with other employees, breaking House rules in the process. The investigation began earlier this year, prompted by complaints about his conduct.
