Far-right Republican accused of stiffing student debate champion of $8,000

A Florida high school debate champion is suing far-right gubernatorial candidate James Fishback over unpaid scholarships from a debate competition league he founded. The Guardian reports that Briana Whatley won regional and national championships in Incubate Debate and alleges nearly eleven thousand dollars in promised scholarship money remains unpaid.
