"People are pissed": House Democrats mull whether to push Max Miller expulsion
politics
House Democrats are quietly debating whether to force a vote expelling Ohio Republican Max Miller from Congress, following domestic abuse allegations from his ex-wife that Miller denies. Axios reports the pressure intensified after Miller's ex-father-in-law, Republican Senator Bernie Moreno, publicly called him a danger to his daughter and granddaughter, and several House Democrats, including Sarah McBride, said Miller should resign or face investigation. For now, though, one Democratic leadership source told Axios the party's real focus is simply beating Miller at the ballot box in November, and with the House on recess, any formal action isn't expected before September.
