BP profits more than double as Iran war sends oil prices soaring

On Tuesday, BP announced quarterly profits of five point seven three billion dollars, more than double the previous quarter's result. The surge follows Middle East tensions that have disrupted oil and gas exports from the Gulf. The Guardian reports this is the energy company's strongest quarter since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began.
