Live: Venezuelans dig for loved ones in Caracas after quakes that caused evacuations 1,700km away

A powerful double earthquake struck Venezuela's capital, Caracas, today, causing extensive damage across the city. According to Jorge Rodríguez, president of Venezuela's National Assembly, more than two hundred fifty buildings are ruined or damaged. The tremors were strong enough to trigger evacuations as far as seventeen hundred kilometers away. Rescue efforts continue as residents search through the rubble for loved ones, with damage assessments still underway.
