An ESP32 based plane radar display

tech

Adafruit Blog reports on a maker project from Alex Kretzschmar: an ESP32-C3 microcontroller with a small round display that functions as a live airplane radar. It pulls nearby ADS-B traffic, plots each aircraft by distance and bearing, and shows the details on screen. The firmware now supports authenticated over-the-air updates, so future versions can be installed wirelessly through a browser—no USB cable needed. The creator is considering porting it to a larger display and building a more durable three-D printed case.
