Devastating LA wildfire sparked by utility company tower, long-awaited report finds

Los Angeles county fire officials say the 2025 Eaton fire, which killed nineteen people and destroyed or damaged more than nine thousand homes and businesses, was caused by equipment belonging to Southern California Edison. According to The Guardian, the long-awaited report released on Tuesday points to 'electrical arcing events' at a tower that was out of service at the time.
