Cate Blanchett, Nina Hoss on the Friendship Driving ‘Elektra/Persona’ at London’s National Theatre: ‘There’s a Lot of Masking and Unmasking’

At London's National Theatre, 'Elektra/Persona' brings together Sophocles' ancient Greek tragedy and Ingmar Bergman's 'Persona' in a new production directed by Benedict Andrews and starring Cate Blanchett and Nina Hoss. According to Andrews, the casting emerged from friendship among the collaborators rather than from a concept devised in advance.
