A drum style mechanical television you can build yourself

Per Adafruit Blog, Scanwheel is a do-it-yourself mechanical television with a drum-style design. The device features five side-by-side windows, each nine millimeters by eight millimeters, displaying separate images from individual LEDs with twenty scan lines each. A Raspberry Pi Pico running MicroPython handles the display, using the chip's specialized PIO hardware to achieve surprisingly high image quality despite the modest line count.
