Telesat lands $1.63 billion Canadian defense contract

Telesat has secured a one point six three billion Canadian dollar defense contract for Arctic communications. SpaceNews reports the award will expand the company's Lightspeed satellite constellation to two hundred twenty-five spacecraft in low-Earth orbit.
