OpenAI pays $3.2m to settle claims it discriminated against US workers

The Guardian reports that OpenAI and subsidiary Statsig agreed to pay three point two million dollars on Tuesday to settle federal discrimination claims. The companies allegedly favored workers on temporary employment visas while discouraging American job applicants from pursuing open positions. The settlement concludes a US Department of Justice investigation into their hiring practices.
