Ukraine live: Russian strikes kill at least 15 in Kyiv and surrounding region

Russian strikes hit Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight into Wednesday, killing at least fifteen people and wounding dozens, authorities said. France 24 notes the attack comes amid a broader escalation in long-range strikes by both sides, with Russia more than doubling its missile use in July. On Tuesday, a separate strike on the Moscow region killed at least five and wounded ten others.
