Micro-Tracers, Inc.; Response to Objections and Requests for a Public Hearing

The FDA has cleared the way for the delisting of FD&C Red No. 3, a food dye, by lifting the administrative stay on the action. Per the Federal Register, Micro-Tracers, Inc. objected and requested a public hearing, but the agency found the objections presented no material issues warranting one. The red dye will now be removed from approved uses in food, dietary supplements, and ingested drugs.
