First time: solar power is Portugal's main source of electricity in July

Portugal's solar power infrastructure reached a milestone in July, becoming the country's main electricity source for the first time, per Euronews. Renewable energy sources overall provided fifty-three percent of consumption that month—solar at nineteen percent, hydroelectric at sixteen percent, wind at thirteen percent, and biomass at five percent.
