FAA investigates air ‘safety incident’ involving Trump’s Marine One

The FAA is investigating a safety incident over Washington DC on Tuesday involving Marine One and a departing passenger jet that came closer than permitted to each other. The Guardian reports that air traffic controllers at Ronald Reagan National Airport allegedly failed to halt commercial flights when President Trump's helicopter lifted off from the White House, resulting in what the FAA terms a loss of separation between the aircraft.
