Pakistan precinct suspends all 78 officers and staff over alleged rape at police station

A police precinct in Lahore, Pakistan has suspended all seventy-eight officers and staff after a twenty-year-old woman with intellectual disabilities alleged she was raped inside the station. According to The Guardian, the woman says an assistant sub-inspector took her to the Ghaziabad police station and assaulted her in a second-floor room, and a Lahore police official said all personnel were held responsible for failing to prevent or report the wrongdoing. It's described as one of the biggest disciplinary actions in the country's police history.
