Family pay tribute to girl, nine, who died on camping trip in Scotland as man is charged

A nine-year-old girl has died following a family camping trip in Arbroath, Scotland, after being found injured on an industrial estate on Monday. The Guardian reports she has been named by her family as Minnie Merriman, with her family describing her, in a statement released through Police Scotland, as "beloved, absolutely incredible, beautiful and brave." A man has appeared in court in connection with her death; the family has asked for privacy at this difficult time.
