D-Wave on rails: Company tests entanglement on its dual-rail qubits
tech
D-Wave, the quantum computing company, recently acquired Quantum Circuits to develop dual-rail qubits—a design that simplifies quantum error detection and correction, two of the field's biggest challenges. As Ars Technica reports, on Wednesday the company published findings in Nature demonstrating that two of these qubits can be entangled without compromising that error-detection capability. D-Wave is calling this a key validation step for the dual-rail approach.
