Trump cites a Supreme Court dissent that lost 6–3 to gut endangered-species protections

Boing Boing reports the Trump administration has erased a fifty-year-old definition of 'harm' under the Endangered Species Act. The definition had shielded wildlife from habitat disruption that affects breeding, feeding, and shelter. A six-to-three Supreme Court majority upheld this definition. The administration is now citing Justice Scalia's dissent from that very ruling—the losing side—to justify the change.
