‘The Messenger’ in Vista, California

Atlas Obscura reports on a new street mural in downtown Vista, California, called "The Messenger." Created by world-renowned spray-paint artist Chor Boogie—the artist name of Jason Hailey—the mural features a hummingbird and an ever-seeing eye. In spiritual symbolism, the hummingbird represents healing, joy, and hope, while the ever-seeing eye symbolizes spiritual awareness, protection, and inner truth. For Chor Boogie, this was a special homecoming: he grew up in the Vista and Oceanside area and is known for his bright colors, flowing lines, and healing-focused themes. The mural is among several of his works now visible in the city.
