Ousted Bangladeshi leader vows to return from exile despite facing a death sentence

Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh's ousted prime minister, marked the second anniversary of her exile by vowing to return, even as she faces a death sentence at home. NPR News reports she fled by helicopter in 2024 after weeks of protests that the United Nations says left nearly fourteen hundred people dead.
