Nato to ‘urgently’ get air defences for Ukraine, as Zelenskyy warns of surge in Russian missile production

The Guardian reports that NATO is working to urgently supply Ukraine with the air defenses it needs. The effort comes after Kyiv failed to intercept a single Russian ballistic missile in an attack on Wednesday. President Zelenskyy also warned that Russia plans to significantly increase missile production ahead of winter. Zelenskyy raised the possibility that delays in Western air defense supplies could be intended to pressure Ukraine toward peace negotiations.
