A sixty-year-old man has died after an alleged assault in the Melbourne suburb of Sunshine, Victoria Police say. Police report the man suffered critical injuries on August first when a group of young people allegedly tried to steal items from a nearby store, and that he was attacked after coming to the aid of a shop employee. The Guardian reports the incident remains under investigation.
