Nigerian authorities say they've pulled off the country's largest single-day hostage rescue, freeing three hundred eight people held by armed groups. Among them were one hundred sixty-three villagers seized during a deadly attack earlier this year, France 24 reports. Kidnapping for ransom has become a persistent security threat across parts of Nigeria in recent years.
