Introducing Kitesurf: The agent-first browser that runs in V8 isolates on Cloudflare Workers

dev_tools

Cloudflare has launched Kitesurf, a new browser built specifically for AI agents. The company says traditional browsers like Chromium were designed for humans with features—tabs, themes, extensions—that agents don't need and carry overhead. Kitesurf removes that overhead, focusing instead on what agents need: efficiency, scalability, and lower costs. According to Cloudflare, it's significantly more efficient in CPU and memory consumption than Chromium for common tasks like screenshots and HTML extraction. The browser runs on Cloudflare Workers in V-eight isolates, which enables multiple agents to run simultaneously. It's available free in beta through Cloudflare's Browser Run.
