Israel charges West Bank settler over death of renowned Palestinian activist

Israeli prosecutors have charged settler Yinon Levi with reckless manslaughter over the 2025 killing of Awdah Hathaleen, a prominent Palestinian activist in the occupied West Bank. The Guardian reports it's the first such indictment in nearly three years. Hathaleen had been involved in the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land.
