Top Ugandan footballer killed by robbers armed with paving stones

Sports Club Villa is mourning its captain David Owori, a Uganda national team player killed after robbers attacked him in Kampala on Tuesday night. The Guardian reports he was fatally injured while resisting an attempt to steal his phone and other belongings, and he later died in hospital.
