Elon Musk's Grokipedia, launched last year as an anti-woke alternative to Wikipedia, appears to have stopped updating entirely. Nieman Lab reports that the AI-powered encyclopedia hasn't processed any changes for over three months. The site still draws significant traffic—six point seven million visits in June alone—and its content is cited in roughly three hundred fifty-six thousand places across AI systems like ChatGPT and Google's AI Mode. That matters, because reference material frozen in time and potentially inaccurate could spread outdated or wrong information through the AI systems that rely on it.
