Simon Willison on Technical Blogging

Simon Willison, the well-known tech blogger, recently shared an interview he had given to Cynthia Dunlop for her "Write that Blog!" series—which he had apparently overlooked linking to from his own site. In the conversation, Willison reflected on his blogging practice and offered his most essential piece of advice: lower your standards. He argues that the goal should be publishing while you're still actively unhappy with your work, because the alternative is an endless folder of unpublished drafts. The flaws you see in your writing, Willison says, are invisible to everyone else.
