A judge has approved a one hundred six million dollar settlement over the 2019 collapse of an eighteen-story Hard Rock Hotel under construction in New Orleans, the Guardian reports. The partial collapse killed three people and damaged nearby property, and while a grand jury declined to indict anyone, the city of New Orleans and others sued the building owners, partners, and contractors — a legal fight that Thursday's settlement now brings to a close.
