Vishal Bhardwaj Sets ‘Rashomon’-Style Film on Tarun Tejpal Rape Case After Bombay High Court Conviction (EXCLUSIVE)

A Bombay High Court has overturned an acquittal and convicted former Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal of rape, sentencing him to ten years of rigorous imprisonment, Variety reports. Within hours, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj confirmed to Variety that he's developing a Rashomon-style film based on the case. Bhardwaj is known for his Shakespeare adaptations, including "Maqbool" and "Omkara."
