Stanway deal boosts Partick Thistle promotion push

Ben Stanway has signed a surprise new contract extension with Partick Thistle, BBC Sport reports. Manager Mark Wilson believes the club's goal of returning to the Scottish Premiership was instrumental in keeping the player committed. Partick faces Livingston in a live BBC Scotland broadcast on Friday.
